At Parker Law, we’re trial lawyers.  We are ready, willing and able to take every case to the jury and routinely do so unless presented with an offer which we and our client believe warrants consideration, such as Reckless Driving or Negligent Driving in the First Degree.  All of the attorneys and staff at Parker law have extensive experience both prosecuting and defending hundreds, if not thousands, of DUI charges.  We draw upon this experience with every DUI client we represent.

Washington State has among the nation’s toughest DUI laws.  The Washington State Legislature has imposed mandatory minimum penalties surrounding Driving Under the Influence (DUI) which CANNOT be waived or reduced by a judge. A first time offender who is either convicted of, or pleads guilty to, the crime of Driving Under the Influence will be sent to jail for at least one day, will lose their license for at least 90 days (although they may apply for an expensive Ignition Interlock Device to continue driving) and will be faced with substantial mandatory minimum fines which – when added to the other costs and assessments usually imposed by courts – often total many thousands of dollars.  Additionally, they may be subject to court supervision for up to five years, preventing them from putting the incident behind them and returning to life as normal.

All of the attorneys and staff at Parker law have extensive experience both prosecuting and defending hundreds, if not thousands, of DUI charges.  We draw upon this experience with every DUI client we represent.

At Parker Law, we’re trial lawyers.  We are ready, willing and able to take every case to the jury and routinely do so unless presented with an offer which we and our client believe warrants consideration, such as Reckless Driving or Negligent Driving in the First Degree.  Accordingly, while immediately working each case up anticipating a trial we simultaneously strive to aggressively negotiate the case with the prosecution to secure a better plea offer for our client to consider.  We’ve found that the harder we work at the outset to discover the true facts the weaker the prosecution’s case gets.  This usually results in better offers for our clients to discuss with us when deciding whether to risk trial.

Below you’ll find a table laying out the statutory mandatory minimum penalties for pleading to, or being convicted of, Driving Under the Influence in the State of Washington.  We’re available around the clock, so schedule a free consultation with us and you’ll immediately know that your DUI case is in experienced and professional hands.
